“It’s beginning to look a lot like Hillmas”

Just could not pass up sharing this poem by Michelle Malkin! I admire creative writing and this Christmas poem about Hillary is a fun read. For your enjoyment and also to bring attention to the fact that as with the original song, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas-” Obama is reaching into the past to bring about his ‘change’. Or as the poem more creatively states with the use of the accurate word ‘retread’ we have a version of the oldies in the Obama cabinet selection.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Hillmas

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 1, 2008 11:03 AM

“In the spirit of the season, here’s my ode to Barack Obama’s Secretary of State nominee Hillary Clinton. Ho, ho, ho! Merry Hillmas!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Hillmas
Everywhere you go
Take a look at the Department of State
It’s Hillary Clinton ‘08
What wond’rous fate and Billy Boy’s aglow

It’s beginning to look a lot like Hillmas
Everywhere you stare
Larry Summers will lead a team
That looks like a Clinton dream
And Obama will deliver us unto to HillaryCare

John Podesta’s paving the way for the hacks and flacks
Who screwed up two decades ago
Rahm Emanuel’s back, Eric Holder’s warmed over
Greg Craig regained his mojo
And Bill and Hill can hardly wait to triangulate once mo’

It’s beginning to look a lot like Hillmas
Everyone you meet
Is a retread brought back from the dead
Has Obama gone mad in the head?
Who knew defeat would be so very sweet?

It’s beginning to look a lot like Hillmas
So much for change and hope
Oh, the moldiest sights you’ll see
Are the old Clintonites that will be
Right beside The Dope.”

  1. Alright, call me crazy, but I dont believe there is a candidate for Secretary of State out there that could have pleased you. John Kerry? You would have said the same thing. Bill Richardson? The same thing.

Its alright to hear constructive criticism, in fact it is wonderful, but when you are so adiment to drag America down just because you don’t like the President is something liberals do, not conservatives.

“Two Decades ago”- as you put it, we had a surplus, our economy was booming and we where not in two wars, I would take 88 or even 92, hell, maybe even 68 over 08,

  2. Adam, I don’t think anyone here is necessarily displeased with Hillary as SOS, it is just the irony of the whole pick that causes some of us to chuckle. Personally, I think Hillary is an adequate choice and definitely capable of handling the job and heck I even feel more comfortable with her than some other people. But, I just laugh when Obama promises change and he does it by bringing in the Clintons et al. And not that we don’t need experienced people but some times to bring change to DC you also need new blood.

Also, nobody here is trying to “drag down America”. Callmecrusader saw a funny blog post and decided to share and not with any ill intent. Actually, callmecrusader and others on this site have been working our tails off since last OCT/NOV to make this country a better place.

  3. I concur with POD. I think that Hillary will do an adequate job as SOS as long as she leaves Bill at home. In all honesty I think that Bill Richardson would do a better job at SOS than Hillary, but it wasn’t my decision.

As I have mentioned before, I do believe that every administration must have some experienced individuals in it, but it must also have fresh faces in it in order to bring in new ideas.

  4. I am starting to have a more postive attitude towards Hillary. (Did I just admit that to everyone here?)

  5. JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – Republican Roger Wicker of Mississippi will take his oath of office Jan. 6 in Washington, along with other newly elected U.S. senators. Wicker’s inauguration is just a formality. He took the Senate oath Dec. 31, 2007,
