Obama and Ayers: Two Peas in a Pod

The gloves have finally come off in the presidential campaign. What I am talking about is the release of GOP information on the relationship of Illinois Senator and Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama and convicted domestic terrorist William Ayers.

As most people know William Ayers is one of the founders of the domestic terrorist organization Weather Underground. In the 1960s this organization led by Ayers was responsible for many acts of violence targeting the US government including the bombing of the Pentagon in 1972. These radicals attacked police stations and any other targets that was a part of the government. Their stated goal was the overthrow of the US government and the creation of worldwide communism. This group embraced a militant approach to their protests of US government policy.

Fast forward to now. This group while no longer in operation now has a new relevancy in the fact that two of the founders, William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn appears to have helped launch Senator Barack Obama’s political career when he first ran for the Illinois State Senate. In 1995 Dohrn and Ayers hosted a meeting of liberal political activists in their home in which Senator Obama’s political career was born. At this home retiring State Senator Alice Palmer introduced her successor, Barack Obama. According to some of the attendees of this meeting it was undeniably the launching of Senator Obama’s political career.

Of course the Obama campaign disputes this saying that Obama was only a child when the bombings took place. Be that as it may, Obama was 40 years old when Ayers made the comment that he did not regret setting those bombs off. The only thing that he regrets is that he didn’t blow enough up. What some people fail to realize is that an occurrence like this gives Ayers a sort of leverage over Obama. When comes down to it, Barack Obama used the influence of a domestic terrorist to launch his political career. Obviously Mr. Ayers saw something that he liked in Obama. Perhaps he sees a desire to drive the US into communism. Perhaps when Ayers looks at Obama he sees another radical personality. If I had to put money on it, I would say that Ayers sees another radical that despise capitalism and democracy. When it comes to Obama and Ayers perhaps it is two peas in a pod.

  1. Love your post, Abreagar!
I don’t understand why it has taken the American public, and yes, media so long to connect the gruesome dots with the lack of character Obama has shown with, as Palin says, “who he pals around with!”
It is just a theory- but sometimes when people can’t do a lot with being angry with something they have little control about they move their anger onto someone or something else. So while Americans have all of this anger about what our elected officials did wit the Great American Sellout, maybe they have turned their ire and attention to Obamas other Sellout- the horrible company he has kept thru te years.
Yes- two peas in a scary pod. We can only hope Americans are scared enough and angry enough to pay attention!

  2. 2 words… President Obama!

  3. Those are two scary words indeed. How can Americans trust his judgment when he used these anti American radicals to launch his political career.

  4. Unfortunately, although it is hard to believe, the climate in which Barack Obama has been swimming for years is so far left it is difficult for him to imagine anybody would find fault with such associations. That is Obama’s frame of reference, not that that excuses him, it simply proves how narrow and blighted his vision is.

A professor from Yale University was explaining on CNN last night just how our schools and colleges are promoting not merely lack of patriotism but actually HATRED for our country. The professor said he has even had to combat this relentlessly in the case of the schools that are educating his own children!

  5. And, one must wonder what kind of cabinet position Obama would give to his friend, Bill Ayers!

    Yes, very scary: President Obama.
Right now Obama reminds me of the Pied Piper.

  6. Does anyone else notice that Obama has an excuse for everything?

  7. Obama has a history of associating with individuals of a radical or criminal nature. Dohrn and Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and Tony Rezko just to name a few. This calls Obamas judgment into question. If he becomes President who will he associate himself with.
